KI NO BI is a unique gin that is produced in an artisanal distillery located in Kyoto, Japan. Made with regional ingredients, its recipe is inspired by the history and culture of the city. KI NO BI which means “the beauty of the seasons” is a rice alcohol to which local botanicals including yellow yuzu, sansho pepper and gyokuro tea from Uji have been added. This Japanese gin is blended with the famous Fushimi water before being bottled at 45.7 degrees.

11 botanicals make up Ki No Bi: rice alcohol, juniper berries, iris root and hinoki (Japanese cedar) form the basis. It includes citrus fruits (yuzu, lemon), ginger, tea, local plants and herbs. Each category of flavors is macerated in rice alcohol and distilled individually before being blended. The Kyoto Distillery has been part of the Pernod Ricard Group since 2020, and KI NO BI gin has won the most prestigious awards, including the Contemporary Gin Trophy from the IWSC competition.
Tasting advice : Ki No Bi can be enjoyed as a Gin & Tonic but also in different classic or creative cocktails.
Ki no Bi can be enjoyed pure on ice with a little Sansho pepper but also with a little hot or cold water, according to Japanese traditions “Oyuwari” or “Mizuwari”.
Mouth: A fresh aroma of yuzu and a touch of Sansho pepper. Juniper complements and enhances the Japanese plants. The ginger root gives a slightly spicy finish.
